Jim Lim

Jim Lim is a Managing Partner at Greenspring Associates, a venture capital firm based in Owings Mills, Maryland. He joined Greenspring in 2004. Currently, Greenspring manages over $3.5 billion for investors such as college endowments and non-for profit foundations, corporate pension funds, insurance companies and high net worth individuals and family offices. The firm invests in the Innovation Economy, focusing on the leading, private technology-oriented companies in the world. Greenspring implements a synergistic approach by backing premier venture capital managers and selectively investing in their best growth stage companies directly. He joined the Kareo Board of Directors in 2015, and brings experience serving on many successful boards along with him.

A cum laude graduate of Washington College, Jim received his degree in Economics, which he followed with an MBA in Finance from Indiana University. After graduating from Indiana University Business School, Jim joined Pfizer and specifically, their corporate pension plan where he helped manage their venture capital investments. In 2000, Jim joined Commonfund Capital, an investment manager that helps colleges and non-profit foundations manage their endowments.

Jim is married with two daughters. He is also an avid marathon runner who has completed the New York City and Boston marathons.
