Joanna Mathisen

Joanna Mathisen is an experienced medical education professional currently serving as the Medical Education Manager at Karger Publishers since September 2021. In this role, Joanna oversees the development of a diverse collection of eLearning courses, ensuring compliance with best practices in medical education while producing high-quality multimedia resources for healthcare providers and patients. Previously, Joanna worked as a Medical Publications Editor, creating e-learning resources for healthcare providers, and completed core anaesthesia training with Health Education England. Joanna's medical career began at NHS Grampian, where foundational training in the clinical setting was completed. Joanna holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Aberdeen, a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from McMaster University, and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Professions Education at the University of Glasgow.
