Ruca Sousa Marques

Ruca Sousa Marques currently serves as the Head of Institutional at karpatkey, focusing on bridging traditional finance with decentralized finance (DeFi). Prior to this role, Ruca held the position of Executive Director at Switch, where expertise in payments and regulatory compliance was developed. As Co-Founder and CEO of cashtag, Ruca was instrumental in creating a P2P mobile payment application. Earlier career experiences include consulting at Deloitte across various sectors, including manufacturing and oil & gas, and an internship at Millennium bcp, gaining insight into banking processes. Ruca holds a Master of Science in Construction Management from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the same university.
