T.J. Longshore

T.J. Longshore has a diverse work experience in the construction industry. T.J. started their career as an intern at EdCon, Inc. in 2015, where they worked as a Field Engineer. In 2016, they interned at Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC. T.J. then joined DPR Construction in 2017 as a Senior Project Engineer. During their time at DPR Construction, they oversaw multiple scopes of work for various clients, managed subcontractors, resolved conflicts in the field, and ensured the availability of materials on-site. T.J. also took on the role of Lead Project Manager for a $1.6M renovation project, successfully delivering it on schedule and obtaining approvals on owner change orders. T.J. developed a peer group to improve morale and productivity, managed a $30M project, and used Power BI to create a new procurement log and dashboard. In 2020, T.J. joined ECBuild as a Project Engineer, where they managed and delivered two unique and fast-paced projects. T.J. developed a submittal register log, resolved complex field issues, and avoided project delays and costs by identifying and resolving design discrepancies. T.J. then moved to Clayco in 2021 as a Senior Project Engineer, and they project managed a $120M scope of work for Savannah College of Art & Design. T.J. identified critical missing scopes, resolved backlog in customer requirements, and received praise for their abilities and work ethic. In 2021, they worked at Zillow as a Renovation Scope Estimator, where they conducted assessments and created scopes of work for resale purposes. T.J. was the primary point of contact for customers, identified commonalities and developed process improvements, and reduced the time spent on scope items. Currently, T.J. is a Junior Program Manager at KatalystDI starting in 2022.

T.J. Longshore obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Construction Science and Management/Business Management from Clemson University in 2017. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained several certifications. These include the JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures certification from freeCodeCamp, which they obtained in November 2021, and the Responsive Web Design certification from freeCodeCamp, which they obtained in April 2021. T.J. also holds an OSHA 30-Hour certification, which they obtained in December 2016.
