Mathias de Baets

Mathias De Baets is a legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within academic and institutional settings. Currently serving as a stafmedewerker-jurist at Katholiek Onderwijs Vlaanderen since December 2021, Mathias has previously held positions such as legal consultant at SCWITCH and legal counsel for KU Leuven Research & Development. In an earlier role at Katholiek Onderwijs Vlaanderen, Mathias was responsible for issues related to property, contract inquiries, and copyright. Additionally, Mathias has conducted research on the recognition criteria for local church and faith communities at KU Leuven.
