Katie Cole

A fan of good chocolate and bad puns, Katie (she) moved from her hometown in southwestern Ontario to Vancouver Island after falling in love with Snuneymuxw territory as part of her own Katimavik journey in 2020. Having spent the past eight months working with local community and non-profit organizations, she is honored to have had roles where she was able to use her many skills and passions to improve the lives of members of his community. With a background in graphic design, communications and carpentry, she is enthusiastic about fostering meaningful relationships and creating a deep sense of community inside and outside the Nanaimo home.

With a love for nature, an affinity for art, and a passion for all things nerdy, Katie enjoys camping, swimming, playing board games, and exploring a multitude of West Coast hiking trails in her spare time. free. She is excited to grow in her role as Project Officer and feels privileged to be able to facilitate the rewarding experience of self-discovery, inclusion and meaningful service for the next generation of Katimavik participants.
