Jo Fernandez

Jo Fernandez, MBA has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2003, Jo worked as an IT Technician at Astronics Test Systems, diagnosing and resolving PC system issues. In 2007, Jo transitioned to a Systems Engineer role, participating in program management reviews and preparing technical write-ups for proposals. Jo then became a Software Librarian, implementing software configuration management procedures and maintaining software and technical data.

In 2015, Jo took on the role of Deputy Program Manager at Astronics Test Systems, providing support in software delivery and maintaining SDL plans and databases. Simultaneously, Jo also worked as a Software Configuration Manager, updating and following software configuration management policies and procedures.

In 2016, Jo joined Lockheed Martin as a Senior Configuration Analyst, being responsible for software configuration management on the JSF Maintenance Training Devices Program. Jo later became the Lead for a new integrated product baseline in the Training Infrastructure System product line.

From 2017 to 2020, Jo worked at Katmai Government Services as a Development Lead, managing a team of multi-media artists, programmers, and software engineers. Jo led graphic design and software development efforts for Courseware and Refresher Training products.

In 2020, Jo joined Chenega Analytic Business Solutions as a Systems Engineer, performing engineering duties and analyzing technical documentation for Navy training devices. Jo also analyzed and identified facility requirements and continuously assessed contractor performance.

In 2022, Jo established JVF Technical Services, LLC as a Technical Project Management and Engineering Consultant.

Finally, starting in 2023, Jo returned to Katmai Government Services as the Deputy Chief System Engineer, supporting the Chief System Engineer in managing the Engineering team and developing interface requirements and specifications for the INTREMED program.

Jo Fernandez, MBA, earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Everest University-Tampa in 2014-2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Everest University-Tampa in 2010-2012. Jo also holds an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Computer and Information Sciences, General from Florida Metropolitan University in 2006-2008. Jo Fernandez completed their high school education at University High School from 1998 to 2002.
