Shuo Yan

Shuo (Sean) Yan is a Senior Flood Risk Modeler at KatRisk LLC. Previously, Shuo worked as a Reservoir Engineering Research Assistant (Intern) at the Illinois State Geological Survey where Shuo (Sean) studied the effect of geological features on pressure distribution. Shuo also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, focusing on groundwater fate and transport models. Shuo holds a Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics from Missouri University of Science and Technology, where Shuo (Sean) graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors.
