Brett Katzen M.d., F.a.c.s.

Brett Katzen, M.D., F.A.C.S. has a strong background in the field of ophthalmology. Brett founded EyeCare Services Partners (ESP) in 2014 and served as the Chief Medical Officer, focusing on developing and implementing the company's clinical strategy. Brett also worked on improving quality, teamwork, and performance, while maintaining a strong connection between physicians and management. Prior to ESP, Dr. Katzen served as the President of Katzen Eye Group since 1992, where they provided top-notch eye care services. Brett also held the position of President and Medical Director at Dulaney Eye Institute, where they led the center and planned for its growth and response to community needs. Dr. Katzen's earlier experience includes being the Medical Director at TLC Vision from 1999 to 2003.

Brett Katzen M.D., F.A.C.S. has an extensive education history in the field of medicine. Brett began their journey at the University of Delaware, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology in 1984. Following this, they pursued their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at Thomas Jefferson University, completing their studies in 1988. Dr. Katzen then proceeded to undertake an Internship in Internal Medicine at Mercy Medical Center from 1988 to 1989.

To further specialize in their field, they completed a residency program in Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where they served as a Resident from 1989 to 1992. Subsequently, Dr. Katzen sought certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology, which they obtained in July 2003. Additionally, they participated in an Executive Management Program at The Wharton School in 1996.
