Cynthia Begay

Cynthia Begay is a Senior Epidemiologist at Kauffman & Associates since June 2023 and a Doctoral Student at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, with a focus on health behavior research related to tobacco regulation in Tribal communities. Prior experience includes serving as a Program Evaluator at United American Indian Involvement from July 2017 to May 2023, where responsibilities encompassed data quality oversight and grant report reviews, and as an Epidemiologist for the Outbreak Management Branch at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health from June 2021 to March 2023. Cynthia's academic background includes a PhD in Preventive Medicine with an emphasis in Health Behavior Research from the University of Southern California, along with a Master's Degree in Public Health - Epidemiology from San Diego State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UC San Diego.
