Yipeng Zhao

Yipeng Zhao is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Embark Ventures, a Los Angeles-based venture capital firm specializing in early-stage investments with a focus on frontier and deep technology. Since June 2017, Yipeng Zhao has also been a Kauffman Fellow in Class 22. Prior experience includes serving as Director at ZMXY Global Investment, Inc., overseeing the U.S. office of a China-based investment company, and as Managing Partner at ArcheMatrix Investment Group, LLC, where early-stage venture investing was the primary focus. Yipeng Zhao began a career in research as a Research Assistant at Michigan State University, where work centered around Monte Carlo simulations in STATA. Academic achievements include a Master’s degree in Econometrics from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics from Michigan State University.
