Angee Simmons has a rich and diverse work experience spanning over several decades. In 1995, they worked as a Public Relations Assistant at University College Dublin. Angee then joined KCPT - Kansas City Public Television, where they held multiple roles. From 1995 to 2009, they served as a Producer/Reporter, responsible for producing video stories and content for multimedia projects. In 2009, they were promoted to the position of Executive Producer, Digital Media, leading a team and managing TV shows, multimedia projects, and promotional campaigns. From 2013 to 2017, Angee served as the Vice President of TV Production & Creative Services, overseeing staff and strategic plans for various creative operations. Finally, from December 2017 to October 2019, they were the Vice President of Education & Engagement, focusing on increasing diversity, educational opportunities, and brand awareness while establishing strategic partnerships. In 2019, Angee also took on simultaneous roles at the National Educational Telecommunications Association and Kauffman, serving as the Vice President of Content and being involved in engagement, communications, and real-world learning.

Angee Simmons earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame, where they studied Film, English, and Education from 1991 to 1995.
