Gerald Schönbucher

Gerald Schönbucher is an accomplished executive and investor with extensive experience in the e-commerce sector. As CEO of Kaufland e-commerce since May 2016, Gerald has played a pivotal role in growing the multi-channel business to over 2 billion euros in gross merchandise value, overseeing a team of 750+ employees. In addition to this role, Gerald serves as CEO of CyberDesk, and holds various investor positions in multiple companies, including Schwarz Digits, Ivy, Greenlyte Carbon Technologies, mammaly, Lumiform, Parkdepot, TestGorilla, and Dogo - your dog's favourite app. Gerald's academic background includes a Doctorate in Entrepreneurship from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, complemented by a Diplomkaufmann degree in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Finance from the same institution, along with exchange studies at the University of Michigan and the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
