Giedrius Kaveckis

Giedrius Kaveckis is a Senior Research Fellow at BPTI and a researcher at Kaunas University of Technology, focusing on GIS-based analysis of heat-wave and flooding impacts on urban areas. With extensive experience in climate change extremes impact analysis, urban development initiatives, and Local Climate Zones adaptation, Giedrius has led various projects funded by the Research Council of Lithuania. Giedrius has contributed to multiple roles in project management, GIS analysis, and consulting since 2010 across various organizations, including iTree Lietuva, Spatial Analytus, and the University of Hamburg. Giedrius holds a Dr. rer. nat. from the University of Hamburg, alongside several relevant master's and bachelor's degrees in spatial decision support systems and geodesy. Giedrius is also experienced in scientific writing, networking, and human resources management.
