Jan-Michael Steiner

Jan-Michael Steiner has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jan-Michael is currently working at Capco as a Manager / Principal Consultant since January 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded kawaloo GmbH in July 2019.

Jan-Michael also has experience working at Commerzbank AG, where they served in various roles. From September 2020 to January 2022, they were the AVP Distributed Ledger Technology in the Group Technology Foundations department. From March 2019 to September 2020, they worked in the Group Digital Transformation & Strategy department as part of the Digital Strategy & New Business Models team. From November 2017 to March 2019, they were involved in corporate strategy in the Group Development & Strategy department.

In addition, Jan-Michael has worked at Main Incubator GmbH, mBank S.A., Financial Services at KPMG, Foxglove Strategies GmbH, MarcAurelConsult, Insitute for Applied Microeconomics, and Sparkasse Herford in various capacities and roles ranging from freelance consulting to trainee positions.

Jan-Michael Steiner obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from Goethe University Frankfurt, where they studied from 2015 to 2017. During their time in the Master's program, they also had the opportunity to study abroad at Fudan University in 2016 and 2017, focusing on the Chinese Economy.

Before pursuing their Master's degree, Jan-Michael earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The University of Bonn. Jan-Michael attended this institution from 2012 to 2015. During their undergraduate studies, they also spent two semesters abroad at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where they concentrated on Economics.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Jan-Michael Steiner obtained a certification as a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in October 2022.
