Jacob Garlick

Jacob Garlick is an experienced professional with a career spanning from 2015 to the present. Jacob began their career as an Internship at the Department of Planning for the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, where they gained knowledge of the full project planning lifecycle concerning major transportation, commercial and residential projects. Jacob then moved on to become the Interim Director for the Department of Planning for the same organization, where they strengthened partnerships and communications with federal and state entities, worked directly with Tribal Council on major initiatives, and sourced and compiled costs of goods and services.

In 2018, Jacob Garlick moved on to become an Energy Efficiency Coordinator for the City and County of Denver, Department of Public Health and Environment. During this time, they took on significant work within Salesforce to help monitor the Energize Denver Benchmarking Program, provided legislative and policy research to the Climate Action Team, and evaluated city and county wide building efficiency data.

Jacob Garlick then joined Vulcan IO LLC as a Web Developer in 2020. During this time, they integrated new authentication and authorization protocols for better security experience, launched an online marketplace for small businesses, and initiated organic growth and user engagement by over 400% through SEO techniques.

Finally, Jacob Garlick joined Kayhan Space as a Senior Frontend Engineer and Frontend Engineer in 2020. In this role, they utilized React, Redux, Jest, MobX, Node. js, PostgreSQL and more to build mission critical components and heavily expand user interface and improve user experience in primary user-facing application. Jacob also integrated greater security measures and better user experience through refactor and implementation of new authorization and authentication protocols.

Jacob Garlick has a diverse educational background. In 2009, they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Fort Lewis College. From 2018 to 2020, they earned a Master of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Colorado Denver. In 2019, they obtained a Certificate in Web Application Development from the University of Denver. Jacob is currently enrolled at Colorado State University Global, where they are working towards a Certificate in Computer Programming. Additionally, in February 2020, they obtained a certification in Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
