Merika Koday

Merika Koday, PhD, serves as a Principal on the Science & Development Team at Accelerator Life Science Partners since May 2018, focusing on sourcing and evaluating emerging biotechnology investment opportunities while providing project management and scientific oversight for ALSP portfolio companies. In addition, Merika holds positions as an Associate and Analyst at KayoThera since March 2022, and as a Board Member and Executive Vice President of Operations at Life Science Washington since December 2022. Previous experience includes positions as Program Manager at Seattle Children's and co-founder and Senior Scientist at Virvio, Inc., a leader in pre-clinical biotherapeutic discovery specializing in computationally designed protein scaffolds. Merika's academic background includes a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
