James Makransky

James Makransky has a diverse work experience in various finance and real estate roles. James currently serves as the VP of Finance at KB Home since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Weichert, Realtors as a Real Estate Broker Associate starting from April 2014. James also served as a Controller at K. Hovnanian Homes from December 2019 to October 2021. In addition, James worked as the VP of Finance at Taylor Morrison from May 2018 to January 2019 and as a Financial Controller at K. Hovnanian Homes from March 2017 to May 2018. James has also held leadership positions in finance at Meritage Homes, Beazer Homes, Masco Contractor Services, and Waste Professionals. Early in their career, James worked as a General Agent at American Income Life, specializing in life insurance sales, training, and recruiting.

James Makransky received a BSBA in Accounting from the UCF College of Business in 1997. James has also obtained several additional certifications, including Excellence in Professionalism, Gold Key Certification from the Orlando Regional REALTOR Association in 2017, a Florida Real Estate Broker Associate certification from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in 2007, a Certified Financial Manager certification from Certified Financial Manager: CFM in 2007, a Certified Management Accountant certification from Certified Management Accountant: CMA in 2007, and a Certified Public Accountant certification from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in 2002. James is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
