Jonathan Fink

Jonathan Fink is an accomplished academic and professional with extensive experience in geology, sustainability, and environmental science. Currently serving as a Committee Member for the Oregon Wildfire Funding Workgroup and an Adjunct Professor of Geology and Visiting Professor of Urban Analytics at the University of British Columbia, Fink has made significant contributions to research partnerships and urban analytics. Throughout a long tenure at Arizona State University, Fink held various leadership positions, including Foundation Professor Emeritus, Director of the Global Institute of Sustainability, and Vice President for Research and Economic Affairs, focusing on interdisciplinary research and sustainable practices. Fink's involvement extends to advisory roles with several organizations, including the Catatonia Foundation and the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. Education includes a Ph.D. in Geology from Stanford University and a B.A. in Geology and Biology from Colby College.
