Mike Wang, PharmD, APh

Mike Wang, PharmD, APh has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Mike currently serves as an Associate Medical Director at KBP Biosciences, where they oversee medical issues and provides extensive involvement in the design and monitoring of clinical trials. Mike ensures the successful conduct of the trials, collaborating with various departments within the organization.

Prior to this, Mike worked at Bayer as a Lead Medical Science Liaison and Senior Medical Science Liaison. In these roles, they acted as a liaison between clinical sites for company-sponsored studies, trained thought leaders to become commercial speakers, and developed educational materials for healthcare professionals. Mike also received recognition for their contributions.

Before joining Bayer, Mike worked as a Medical Science Liaison at The Medical Affairs Company (TMAC) and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the USC School of Pharmacy.

In earlier stages of their career, Mike held positions at Huntington Hospital as a Clinical Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, at Atlantic Pharmacy and Medical Supplies as a Retail Pharmacist (Per Diem), and at Silverlake Medical Center as a Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist (Per Diem). Mike also served as a Pharmacist in Charge at Atlantic Pharmacy and Supplies.

Additionally, Mike gained teaching experience as an Adjunct Professor at Western University of Health Sciences and completed a residency as a PGY1 Resident Pharmacist in Acute Care with an emphasis on education and research at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.

Mike Wang earned their Associate of Science (AS) degree in General Studies from Mt. San Antonio College from 1999 to 2002. Mike then pursued a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Western University of Health Sciences from 2004 to 2008. After completing their education, Mike obtained their Registered Pharmacist certification from the California State Board of Pharmacy in May 2008. Mike also became an APhA Immunization Provider through the American Pharmacist Association in October 2009 and a Certified Anticoagulation Care Provider through the NATIONAL CERTIFICATION BOARD FOR ANTICOAGULATION PROVIDERS INC in May 2011. Most recently, in April 2017, Mike received their certification as an Advanced Practice Pharmacist from the California Board of Pharmacy.
