Leslie Ramirez is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in advocacy, mentorship, and leadership. Currently serving as a Scholar Advocate-College at Great Jobs KC, Leslie has also held significant roles within Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc., including President and Historian, contributing to the organization’s growth on campus. Previous experiences include working as a Bilingual Match Support Specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City, supporting student matches, and coaching the girls' soccer team at Lincoln College Preparatory. Leslie has engaged in various initiatives, such as serving as a College Advisor through the College Advising Corps and playing key roles in multiple organizations, including the Hispanic American Leadership Organization as Vice President. A graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching, Leslie’s commitment to community and youth development is evident through a rich history of involvement and leadership in education-focused roles.

Kansas City Scholars (KC Scholars; www.kcscholars.org) is a 501(c)(3) college scholarship, college planning and persistence support, and college success program designed to increase the college completion rate for low- and modest- income students and adult learners across the six-county, bi-state service region. KC Scholars launched in September 2016 and, in less than four years, has experienced widespread community engagement and rapid scaling. We now have over 3,000 Scholars, with near 1,200 in college. KC Scholars is on the path to near 10,000 Scholars by 2022 and is projected to grow to near 20,000 by 2027.
