Ron Wheeler

Ron Wheeler is an experienced safety and quality assurance professional with a strong background in the offshore oil and gas industry. Currently serving as SSHE Lead at KCA Deutag since July 2016, Ron focuses on the Hebron Platform. Previously, Ron worked at Ocean Rig from September 2011 to June 2016 as a QHSE Engineer, where responsibilities included implementing safety systems, conducting audits, and assisting in compliance evaluations. Ron also held the position of Safety Officer on a 6th Generation Drill Ship. Ron's earlier experience includes a decade with Transocean, culminating as RSTC, where roles encompassed training coordination and incident investigation, alongside various positions in drilling operations. Ron holds a NEBOSH International Safety certification from Petrofac and attended the University of Fredericton.
