Denitsa Shopova-Gospodinova has a strong background in research and scientific roles. Denitsa has worked as a Lead Scientist at KD Pharma since November 2015. Prior to that, they held positions as a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Stuttgart from January 2014 to September 2015, and at the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart from April 2013 to September 2015. Denitsa also has experience as a Post-doctoral associate at both the University of Stuttgart from January 2009 to December 2011, and the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart from March 2007 to December 2008. In addition to their research roles, Denitsa worked as a Quality Control Specialist at pharmaceutical company "Sopharma" from November 2005 to February 2007. Denitsa began their career as a Researcher PHD Student at the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research in February 2002, completing their role in October 2005.

Denitsa Shopova-Gospodinova began their education in 1996 at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, where they pursued a Master's degree in Inorganic Chemistry. Denitsa successfully completed their degree in 2001. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Stuttgart in 2002 and completed their studies in 2005, earning a Dr. rer. nat. in Chemistry.
