CTO and Co-Founder at KDPOF

Rubén Pérez-Aranda Alonso started their work experience in 2002 as an R&D Software Engineer at DS2. Here, they were involved in the design and implementation of RT software for Power Line Communication (PLC) modems. Rubén also worked on the implementation of link layer protocols and API for reference design applications of PLC modems. In 2003, they moved to SIDSA, where they held the role of R&D Software Engineer, focusing on real-time software design and development for communication systems. Rubén was responsible for implementing physical layer and link layer algorithms and integrating and emulating digital communication systems. From 2006 until 2010, Rubén worked as an R&D Project Manager at SIDSA, leading projects on innovation in new channel coding techniques, modulation systems, and digital signal processing algorithms for digital communications. In 2010, Rubén joined KDPOF as the CTO and Co-Founder. Rubén was involved in the development and standardization of optical communications technologies for automotive applications, from concept to integrated circuit. In 2014, they additionally took on the role of Task Force Editor and Comment Editor at IEEE, specifically focused on the IEEE P802.3bv Gigabit Ethernet Over Plastic Optical Fiber project. Rubén held these roles until 2017.

Rubén Pérez-Aranda Alonso has a strong educational background in the field of electronics and engineering. Rubén completed their undergraduate studies at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 1996 to 2002, earning a degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Electronics and Automatic Control. Rubén achieved remarkable academic performance during this period, graduating with Honors.

Following their undergraduate studies, Rubén pursued further academic excellence by enrolling in a Master's program at the same institution. From 2004 to 2007, they dedicated their efforts to conducting a Master Thesis in Electronics, again at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
