Andrew S. began their career in 2007 as a 3M Trainee at Merrick Community Center. In 2008, they joined the University of St. Thomas as a Tutor/Mentor and Lab Mentor. In 2012, they began working at KEB America, Inc. as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they were responsible for concept development, sales support, drafting and CAD management, R&D tool and equipment design, design feasibility and product validation, production test protocols and process control, and software based simulation studies. In this role, they were the lead developer for electromagnetic brake and clutch technologies, with a primary focus on permanent magnet and spring set brake systems used in the medical industry.
