Rajesh Shanbhag

Rajesh Shanbhag has over 30 years of work experience in the field of electrical and power systems. Rajesh has held various managerial positions and has been responsible for project management, construction management, and business development in different companies.

Rajesh'smost recent role was as the Head of Marketing & Business Development for the International Substation Business at KEC International Ltd. Since June 2017, their responsibilities included finalizing strategic business partners, developing business plans and marketing strategies, cost estimation, project analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Prior to that, they worked as the Deputy General Manager at KEC International Ltd., starting in October 2005. In this role, they were in charge of tendering activities and account management for various projects, including those for PGCIL, the Middle East, and Rest of Africa. Rajesh'sresponsibilities included commercial and contract administration, risk assessment, and performance evaluation.

Before joining KEC International Ltd., Rajesh worked as an Assistant Divisional Manager at TATA Power, where they managed project management for transmission line projects worth $42 million.

Rajesh also has experience working as a Construction Manager at Al Hassan Engineering Co. SAOG, where they oversaw the construction of transmission lines and substations in Oman.

Furthermore, they served as a Divisional Manager at Reunion Engineering Co. Ltd, where they were responsible for overall business development, strategy, and execution. Rajesh successfully closed contracts for power plants and electrical installations.

Rajesh's early work experience includes roles as Dy. Manager-Electrical at Morarjee Brembana Ltd.- Ajay Piramal Group and Senior Project Engineer at Volats Ltd- Electrical Business Group, where they were involved in the commissioning of substations and electrical installations for various projects.

Rajesh Shanbhag completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Global Nxt University in Malaysia from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Construction Project Management from the National Institute of Construction Management & Research in 2005. Additionally, Rajesh holds a certification as a Certified Project Professional from P.M. Guru Inc. in the USA.
