Simone Fornai

Simone Fornai has extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management. They started their career at Menarini as a Buyer, where they managed tenders and purchase orders. From there, they joined Novartis Vaccines as a Strategic Buyer, responsible for various procurement categories and leading negotiations with suppliers. Fornai later became a Global Procurement Category Manager, overseeing packaging and warehousing and distribution for Novartis Vaccines. They then moved to GSK as a Global Procurement Category Manager, where they continued to manage packaging and logistics categories. After that, Fornai joined Solvay as a Procurement Manager, leading inland logistics and then overseas and air global domain sourcing. Currently, Fornai works at Kedrion Biopharma as the Global Procurement Director & External Supply.

Simone Fornai obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Economia aziendale/manageriale from Università degli Studi di Siena, which was completed from 1990 to 1996. Additionally, they received a maturità scientifica from Santa Marta between 1985 and 1990. Simone also has various certifications and training, including being a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Chain (CIPS) and completing the Halal assurance system certification from Majelis Ulama Indonesia in 2012.
