Principal Scientist (polymer) at Kemira

Chen Lu worked as a Senior Research Scientist/Development Scientist at Buckman from October 2004 to October 2009. They then joined Kemira as a Project Manager/Senior Research Scientist in the Tissue and Strength Resins division from October 2009 to September 2012. At Kemira, Chen successfully managed multiple R&D projects and developed various products for commercialization globally. They also initiated the use of novel temporary wet strength resins for towel manufacturing. Following this role, Chen became a Principal Scientist (Polymer) at Kemira, starting in October 2012, where they focused on new polymer development for the Oil/gas and Papermaking industries. They also managed R&D projects and obtained Food Contact Notification (FCN) approval.

Chen Lu holds a PhD in Polymer and Colloid Science from McMaster University (1998-2003) and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University (1992-1996).
