Hong Yang

Hong Yang is a highly experienced Sr. Research Scientist with a strong background in chemical engineering and polymer material engineering. Currently at Kemira since October 2019, Hong Yang specializes in functional dispersions of water-soluble polymers, self-invertible aqueous polymer emulsions, and has contributed to multiple invention notifications and patent applications. Prior to this role, Hong Yang was with DuPont from January 2016 to August 2019, where significant achievements included the development of novel Avicel® colloidal microcrystalline cellulose, leading to substantial annual sales. Hong Yang also has experience at Kemira and Ashland Specialty Ingredients, focusing on formulating innovative products and achieving successful commercialization through rigorous research methodologies. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from KU Leuven and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Polymer Material Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
