Katri Sahlman

Interim CEO at Kemppi

Katri Sahlman has a comprehensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Katri began their career in 2001 as a Senior Vice President at Comptel Corporation, where they worked until 2004. From 2004 to 2012, they held various positions at Itella Corporation, including Development Director and CIO of the Logistics Business Group. During this time, they implemented product lifecycle management processes and steered product portfolio development projects.

In 2012, Sahlman joined Kempower Oy as a Board Member, and in 2013, they moved to Itella Corporation again as the Vice President of Strategy and Development. Katri later became the acting CIO for Itella Group from 2013 to 2014. In 2015, Sahlman joined Kemppi as the Vice President of Business Development and ICT, overseeing strategic and process development projects, as well as managing the ICT function. Katri then served as the COO until 2021.

From 2021 to 2023, Sahlman held the role of Vice President of the Business Unit Welding Torches & Aftermarket at Kemppi, where they led the growth business and served as a member of the company's Management Team. In 2023, they became the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development.

Katri Sahlman pursued their education from 2002 to 2006 at Henley Business School. Katri received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General. In December 2020, they obtained a certification called "HHJ-tutkinto / HHJ examination" from Hämeen kauppakamari | Häme Chamber of Commerce.
