Sérgio Azevedo has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Sérgio started their career as a Curricular Intern at CIMSoft in 2005. From 2006 to 2017, they worked at i2S - Insurance Software Solutions, where they held various roles such as Developer, Software Engineer, Lead Support, and Product Specialist. In 2013, they worked as a Part-time Freelance Web Developer at Arquipélago de Ideias, Lda. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Part-time Freelance Software Developer at Denariu - Administração de Condomínios e Serviços, Lda. In 2017, they joined DevScope as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked until 2019. From 2017 to 2018, they also worked as a Senior Consultant (via Devscope) at PRIMAVERA Business Software Solution, where they were involved in the design and implementation of Jasmin Developers marketplace. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Consultant (via Devscope) at Grohe Portugal - Componentes Sanitários, LDA, providing support and developing new features for their proprietary software. Lastly, since 2020, Sérgio has been working at kenbi as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on the implementation of IdentityServer 4, CI/CD workflows, and AWS infrastructure for APIs, functions, and web apps. Sérgio has also designed and implemented distributed systems to improve nurses' daily work processes and reduce paperwork. Sérgio obtained a Licentiate degree in Informatics Engineering from the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Informatics Engineering from the same institution from 2002 to 2005.

Before attending college, Sérgio attended Escola Secundária de Vale de Cambra from 1999 to 2002, but the degree and field of study are unspecified.

In addition to their formal education, Sérgio Azevedo has obtained several certifications.
