Joel Dawson

Joel Dawson is an experienced Engineering Manager at Kennametal, overseeing the EMERGE program's Operations & Technology tracks and supporting future leaders in a rotational leadership development program. With a background that includes roles as Senior Engineer, Engineer in Materials Analysis, and Laboratory Supervisor in Surface Technology, Joel has extensive expertise in maintaining global grade specifications, leading superhard material development, and managing laboratory operations. Prior to Kennametal, Joel held positions as a Research Assistant and Extern at Carnegie Mellon University, contributing to projects in materials science and engineering. Joel holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
