Ayaz Asaf

Ayaz Asaf joined Kennedy Lewis in 2023 and is a Managing Director focused on investments in Europe. Prior to joining Kennedy Lewis, Mr. Asaf was a Corporate Development Executive at the ION Group, a Europe based financial technology conglomerate. At the ION Group he was involved in corporate development initiatives supporting portfolio companies and new acquisitions/investments. Prior to joining ION in 2020, Mr. Asaf worked at CarVal Investors from 2014 – 2020 where he was a Managing Director responsible for investing in high yield and distressed debt. Earlier in his career, Mr. Asaf worked at Credit Suisse in the distressed debt trading group and Leveraged Finance investment banking. Mr. Asaf began his career at Deloitte, and in 2006 he qualified as a Chartered Accountant (Canada).

Mr. Asaf received a Bachelors degree in finance and mathematics from the University of Toronto in 2004. He is a Chartered Accountant and CFA Charterholder.
