Jan Broekhuizen

Jan Broekhuizen currently serves as a member of the executive council of The Netherlands Bar (NOvA) since November 2022. Broekhuizen has been a partner at Kennedy Van der Laan since 2015 and holds the position of chairman on the Supervisory Board of Rijnbrink. Additionally, Broekhuizen serves as vice-chair on the Governance Committee of Aedes and VTW and on the Supervisory Board of CARE Nederland. Previous experience includes positions as a partner at Boekel de Neree, a deputy judge at the Court of Appeal Den Bosch, and an advocate at several law firms, including NautaDutilh and Allen & Overy. Jan Broekhuizen holds a PhD in legal philosophy and financial regulation from the University of Groningen, alongside degrees in philosophy and law from the University of Amsterdam and Erasmus University Rotterdam, respectively, and has completed the Certified Director program at INSEAD.
