Danny Howes

Associate Director - Mebus Program - Senior Lecturer- Music & Technology at Kennesaw State University

Danny Howes has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Danny began their career as a Musician, Producer, and Guitarist in 1980, studying music privately and at Georgia State University. Danny then worked as a Producer, Engineer, Mixer, and Musician at Red Door Recording Studio from 2005 to 2013, where they handled recording projects and maintained studio equipment. Additionally, they served as a Guitarist at North Point Ministries, Inc. from 2004 to 2013, performing music and assisting with production. Danny also worked at Apple from 2008 to 2012, providing computer training and serving as a Market Training Director. Danny has been associated with Kennesaw State University since 2012, where they are currently the Associate Director of the MEBUS Program, specializing in Music and Technology. Danny has also served as a Lead Faculty and Tour Facilitator for the MEBUS London Study Abroad program. In 2011, they became the Touring Guitarist for the Elton John tribute act "Almost Elton John & The Rocket Band." Prior to that, they were the Touring Guitarist and Music Director for recording artist Alice Peacock from 2002 to 2005. Danny also has a background in entrepreneurship as the Founding Member and Guitarist of the Brit-Pop band "The Tender Idols" from 1993 to 2003.

Danny Howes earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a concentration in Organizational Communication from Kennesaw State University, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. Danny then went on to complete a Master of Arts in Integrated Global Communication (MAIGC) with a focus on Global Communication at Kennesaw State University from 2016 to 2019. Prior to their time at Kennesaw State, Danny studied Commercial Music & Recording Sciences at Georgia State University from 1980 to 1982. Additionally, they hold certifications as an AVID Certified Pro Tools Operator from Avid Technology and as an Apple Certified Logic Pro from Apple.
