Sanjoosh Akkineni

Sanjoosh Akkineni has a diverse range of work experience in data science and analytics. Starting in 2015, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at Kennesaw State University before moving on to roles such as Graduate Research Assistant and President of the Graduate Student Association. In 2017, they joined Equifax as a KSU Data Science and Analytics Graduate Intern, where they contributed to the development of modeling solutions across various areas. In 2018, they worked as a Data Scientist and Analytics Intern at Novelis, focusing on data analysis, model creation, and HR analytics. In 2019, they worked as a Healthcare Data Science Intern at MagMutual, where they developed statistical and machine learning models to improve physician practice safety. Since 2021, Sanjoosh has been working at Kennesaw State University again, first as an Academic Data Analyst and currently as the Lead Data Scientist. In these roles, they leverage their expertise to provide evidence-based insights and support continuous improvement in student success and program evaluation.

Sanjoosh Akkineni completed a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Kennesaw State University from 2015 to 2017. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Analytics and Data Science also at Kennesaw State University, with an expected completion in 2024.
