Valerie A. Smith

Valerie A. Smith, PhD, currently serves as a Lecturer of English at Kennesaw State University, focusing on First-Year English Composition since August 2021. Valerie has extensive teaching experience, previously holding positions as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at both Georgia State University and Kennesaw State University. Valerie's contributions to the education sector include curriculum design and classroom management. In addition to academic roles, Valerie served on the Board of the Georgia Writers Association and worked as a Graduate Intern on the editorial staff. Valerie holds a PhD in English from Georgia State University, an MA in Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies from Kennesaw State University, and an additional MA in Professional Writing.
