Melanie Knowles is an accomplished Sustainability Manager with extensive experience in the field of sustainable practices and green building. Currently serving at Kent State University since September 2009, Knowles previously held the role of Sustainability Manager at Doty & Miller Architects, where responsibilities included facilitating the LEED process and developing collaborative tools for design and construction teams. Prior to this, Knowles was Interim Executive Director and held various educational roles within the Cleveland Green Building Coalition. Additional experience includes serving as Deputy Project Director for Railroad Agreements at the City of Cleveland. Knowles holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Case Western Reserve University and advanced degrees from Miami University in Environmental Science and Anthropology.
