Thomas Cheale

Thomas Cheale is a dedicated STEM Ambassador and Assistant Lecturer at the University of Kent, with experience in engaging and teaching students in technical subjects. Currently, Thomas serves as a CEMS Pgr Student Representative at Kent Union, facilitating communication between students and staff, alongside a role as Treasurer of the UKC Hogwarts Society, managing financial accounts. Previous positions include a Consultant Data Scientist for WWF, contributing to wildlife trade research, a Statistical Consultant for Greenhood Nepal focusing on poaching data, and a Research Assistant for the South African National Biodiversity Institute. Thomas holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Statistical Ecology and a Master of Science in Mathematics, both from the University of Kent, complemented by foundational A-Levels in Mathematics, Statistics, Biology, and Geography.
