Wendy King

Wendy King is an accomplished educational professional with extensive experience in various roles within the Kentucky education system. Currently serving as Grant Coordinator and Literacy Coordinator at Kentucky Educational Development Corporation since January 2017, Wendy also contributes as a Teacher Member on the State of Kentucky Textbook Commission, focusing on recommending high-quality educational materials. With a teaching career that began in 2003 at Madison Co. Schools, followed by roles in Rockcastle County Board of Education—where positions include Teacher and Director of Special Education—Wendy has demonstrated a commitment to education at multiple levels. Wendy holds several degrees, including a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of the Cumberlands, and has continuously pursued professional development to enhance educational practices.
