Ashley Fowler

A native of Napa, California, Ashley earned her bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of California, Davis, and her master’s degree and doctorate from the University of Kentucky under the guidance of Laurie Lawrence, Ph.D. Her research focused on phosphorus digestion, metabolism, and excretion in young and mature horses.

While at the University of Kentucky, Ashley received the Graduate School Academic Fellowship, the Kentucky Opportunity Fellowship, and the Karri Casner Environmental Sciences Fellowship. During her graduate studies, she authored or co-authored two book chapters, seven refereed publications, and several abstracts.
