Kentucky National Guard
Jason Turner is a certified 13J Army Senior Instructor at the Kentucky Army National Guard, serving since January 2000, currently holding the rank of E6 with a No-Fill slot for E7. Turner has been employed as a Certified Industrial Maintenance Technician Kaizen Member at Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. since January 2015, leading a team that achieved first place in the Honda continual improvement competition. Previous experience includes working as a Computer Technician for various clients from 1998 to 2020, and as a Support Manager at Walmart, where Turner was recognized as #1 in the market region for Pick and Bin completion. Additionally, Turner co-owned Brown Headrick & Turner Ventures, focusing on renewable energy development in South Central Kentucky. Jason Turner earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Western Kentucky University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Instructional Design and Learning Technology at Eastern Kentucky University.

Kentucky National Guard
The Kentucky National Guard is comprised of nearly 8,000 Soldiers and Airmen in the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard, which are components of the United States Army and the United States Air Force, respectively. The National Guard is unique because it is the only military force in the world with a dual mission: federal and state. Kentucky National Guard Soldiers train to assist the federal government in combat and peace-time missions. Since Sept. 11, 2001 the Kentucky National Guard has mobilized and deployed more than 18,000 Soldiers and Airmen in support of the Global War on Terror. The Kentucky National Guard remains ready to assist communities with disasters on the homefront. Whether it is a flood, tornado, snow or ice storm – or providing security for high-profile events such as the Kentucky Derby – the Kentucky National Guard is here for the people of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
