Amanda Cloyd

Amanda Cloyd, MPA, IPMA-HR SCP, SHRM-SCP has a diverse work experience in human resources and administration. Amanda is currently serving as the Executive Director of Human Resources at Kentucky Venues since July 2019. Prior to this, Amanda worked as the Human Resources Commander/Executive Advisor at Kentucky State Police from March 2013 to July 2019. Amanda also served as a Member of the Board at Kentucky Personnel Board from July 2014 to August 2016.

Before joining the Kentucky State Police, Amanda worked at the Kentucky Court of Justice-AOC as the Classification and Compensation Administrator from an unspecified date until March 2013. Prior to that, they held various roles at the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, including Human Resources Administrator, Education and Training Coordinator, and Administrative Specialist III. In these roles, they administered internship programs, served as a liaison for colleges of agriculture, managed education and training programs, and assisted with policy and administrative issues.

Additionally, Amanda had a brief role as an Undergraduate Adjunct Professor in Public Administration at Kentucky State University from January 2009 to August 2009.

Amanda Cloyd has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Marketing from Western Kentucky University. Amanda also holds a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on Human Resources Management and Services from Kentucky State University. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained several certifications, including Certified Mediator from the Kentucky Employee Mediation Program (KEMP), Human Resource Generalist (HRG) from the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet, Professional in Human Resources from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and Certified Public Manager from the Governmental Services Center.
