Sarah Hawi is a seasoned researcher currently serving as a Principal Investigator for a PhD project at Maseno University, focusing on an anthropological study of caregivers' perceptions and healthcare-seeking pathways for children under 5 years with probable pneumonia. Concurrently, Sarah is also a Principal Investigator at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), leading a photovoice study on HIV stigma perspectives among young people living with HIV in Siaya County. With a diverse background in social behavioral research, Sarah has held various roles at KEMRI, including social behavioral researcher, social science interviewer, and research assistant. Sarah holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Anthropology from Maseno University and has acquired additional qualifications in qualitative research and public health.
