Jane Wanjiku is an accomplished molecular biologist and principal laboratory analyst at the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS), where significant contributions have been made since August 2013. In the current role as a molecular biologist and ISO 17025 internal auditor, Jane has focused on the occurrence of pectinolytic bacteria associated with blackleg and soft rot of potato in Kenya. Jane holds a Master of Science in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Crop Protection at the University of Nairobi.
