Tony Kempster

Tony Kempster has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Tony started their career as an Apprentice at British Rail in 1990 and worked there until 1994. Tony then joined Intercity/East Coast as a Technical Team Member and worked there until 2000. From 2000 to 2003, they served as a Maintenance Team Leader at GNER. Following that, they worked at GNER as a Production Manager from 2004 to 2007, overseeing site security and leading a team of 50 staff. At EAST COAST TRAINS LIMITED, from 2007 to 2011, they held the role of Fleet Manager, responsible for the delivery of 333 vehicles and leading a workforce of 200+. Tony then moved on to work as a Project Manager at East Coast Mainline Company Ltd in 2011. From 2012 to 2017, they served as a Fleet Introduction Project Manager at Transport for London, before becoming a Senior Project Manager from 2017 to 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Technical Services at KeolisAmey Docklands.

Tony Kempster attended Kingston University from 2005 to 2009, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Rail Traction & Rolling Stock.
