Liam Smolenaars

Hardware Design Specialist at Kepler Communications Inc.

Liam Smolenaars has a diverse range of work experience. Liam started their professional career in 2015 as a Lifeguard for the City of Burlington. In 2016, they worked on a special project for Hutchinson Farm, designing a device to improve energy efficiency in their greenhouses. In 2017, Liam became a Bicycle Mechanic for Rolling Horse Community Cycle, where they assessed and repaired bicycle donations, interacted with customers, and made sales. In 2018, they completed another special project for Hutchinson Farm, creating a device to automate the process of dispensing specific volumes of water. In 2020, Liam joined Kepler Communications Inc. as a Hardware Engineer Intern, and continued with the company in 2022 as a Hardware Design Specialist.

Liam Smolenaars completed their high school education at Nelson High School from 2012 to 2016. Liam did not receive a specific degree or field of study during this time. Subsequently, they attended McMaster University from 2016 to 2022 and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Engineering.
