Mikhala Armstrong

Mikhala Armstrong is a dedicated news reporter currently serving at KGET-TV 17 in Bakersfield, California, since September 2022, and also at Nexstar Media Group, Inc. since July 2022. With experience as a General Assignment Reporter focusing on crime, politics, and health, Mikhala previously held a role as a Nexstar News Associate in Washington D.C. Additional work experience includes positions at Fox Corporation as an Assistant, CycleBar as a Membership Sales Specialist, and Obsidian X Inc. as a Marketing Specialist, along with an internship at KTVU Television Fox 2. Mikhala earned a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and holds a degree in Journalism with a minor in Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts from San Diego State University.
