Jan Stewart

Chair at Kerry's Place Autism Services

Elected to the Kerry’s Place Board of Directors as a General Director in February 2018. Jan is a highly regarded expert in executive and Board search and assessment. After 25 years with the leading global executive search firm Egon Zehnder, where she served as Managing Partner of the Toronto Office, she joined the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University in 2016 as Graduate Career Coach of the graduate management programs. From 2015 to 2016, she also served as Special Advisor, Executive Programs at the Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto. Prior to joining Egon Zehnder in 1990, she spent ten years with JP Morgan in New York and Toronto and previously worked in the non-profit sector. Her education includes a BSc with Distinction from Northwestern University, an MA in Deafness Rehabilitation from New York University and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia University. In addition to her professional career, Jan has extensive governance and advocacy experience in the mental health field. Highlights include nine years on the Board of Trustees at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, serving as both Chair of the Governance Committee and as Vice Chair of the Board. She has also sat on the Advisory Council of ACCESS Open Minds, as well as on the Advisory Board of LIGHTS, a partnership with Community Living Toronto that enables new housing opportunities for the intellectually disabled. Jan is the parent of an autistic son.
