Chief Financial Officer at KEXP

Rebecca Denk's work experience includes various roles and positions in different organizations. Rebecca is currently the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at KEXP, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to their current role, they served as the Director of Finance & HR at KEXP from February 2016 to February 2022.

Before joining KEXP, Rebecca worked as a yoga instructor at Seattle Yoga Arts starting in April 2010. Rebecca taught Gentle yoga classes twice a week and had extensive training in Anusara yoga.

Rebecca also owned and taught yoga classes at Pratyahara Yoga from October 2007 to October 2019. Rebecca had been teaching yoga in their Central District neighborhood for over 10 years and had a strong passion for the practice.

In addition, Rebecca served as the Deputy Director at the Phinney Neighborhood Association from September 2010 to February 2016. Rebecca was also the Board President at Shunpike from April 2006 to December 2011.

Prior to their involvement in the yoga and nonprofit sectors, Rebecca gained experience in the business world as the Chief Operations Officer at Babeland from November 2001 to October 2009. Rebecca played a key role in the growth and expansion of the company, overseeing multiple stores and websites.

Rebecca's earlier career includes roles in the theater industry, where they served as the Managing Director at Theater Schmeater from June 2000 to October 2001, and as the Development Director at On the Boards from September 1998 to June 2000. Rebecca also held the position of Development Director at The Empty Space Theatre from January 1997 to September 1998.

Throughout their career, Rebecca has demonstrated skills in leadership, finance, HR, fundraising, budget management, and operations.

Rebecca Denk obtained an MBA in Arts Administration from the Binghamton University School of Management from 1988-1994. Prior to that, they pursued an MBA in Arts Administration from Binghamton University with no specified start or end dates.
